ALICANTE
Alicante is a second largest city in Valencian Community, and the capital of the province of Alicante. City of great history, that has been inhabited for over 7000 years, nowadays count 370.525 inhabitants.
The Explanada de Espana is city’s central promenade and home of 400 palm trees and 6.6 million red black and cream marble tiles.
Castillo de Santa Barbara, medieval city guardian built on 166m above seashore, is one of the largest medieval fortresses in Europe and one of the major city sights.
“City of Light”, as called by Romans, is home of various festivals, as Las Hogueras de San Juan celebration each June, that also has dedicated museum called Museo de Fogueres with creations saved from the flames of mentioned festival.
